Fashion trends for spring 2021

Spring is right around the corner and so it is its fashion. Last year, the fashion industry had a lot of problems and concerns about what would happen to fashion at all. Everyone was worried about how fashion weeks would unfold during the global pandemic. Yet, fashion houses positively surprised us when the idea of ​​virtual fashion magazines and presentations was born.

They introduced us to some new trends and some that we have already seen in previous seasons. I would like to present to you some of my favorite trends. These are all very suitable for sitting at-home as well :)

1. Wide leg pants or big jeans

This is a trend that I am absolutely in love with. In 2015, the skinny jeans trend was a huge success. Since then, however, we have been moving away from it. Like previous seasons, this spring will be no different.

2. Feathers all over

Whether it’s on blouses, jackets, dresses, sweaters, or tops, feathers will appear in the spring fashion.

3. Tie-dye

For everyone that spent time in DIY projects last year in quarantine, this will sound amazing. Tie-dye is coming back. This time, we will not only be wearing it at home, however, we will also spot some of those patterns on upcoming clothing.

4. Trench coats

Last year we all have seen a focus on wearable classic pieces. Of course, this has been influenced by past quarantine. Regardless, the SS21 wardrobe will be based on classic pieces, which were given slight twists to make them a little different and prove that classics don't have to be boring.

We will see this impact on trench coats that are still going to be worn this spring. To the classic coat, we will be adding a belt, for a more beautiful silhouette, or we will play with different patterns and materials.

5. Bright colors, especially pink

Pink is such a positive color. And with choosing this season's color pallet, many designers embraced an optimistic point of view for spring. Besides pink, pastel colors are still playing a big part.

These are just some of my favorite trends for this season. When choosing what I would like to include in this post I tried to imagine what can we wear regards going to school, shops or work. You can incorporate these trends and styles into your everyday life and feel amazing. Last but not least, clothes give us some extra self-confidence and vibrant colours can brighten our day.
