Failing? Is it such a bad thing? (+ tips on how I stay motivated)

I think this is such an important topic especially for all of us still attending school. Most people associate failure with something bad. Everyone has already failed a couple of times. A lot of people are scared of failing something. But I think the reality is that they are really scared of improving themselves.

Have you wondered »Have I ever learned something from success?« Of course, everyone wants to be successful, but I am telling you that you are going to learn more from the mistakes you make. This is something that my parents are telling me all the time, and now I know why. I am still going to school and believe me I face different failures every week. I know that after I accept it, I am going to just improve myself for the next time.

However, it is pretty hard to keep your head up and ready for new things when you are still feeling unmotivated from your previous mistake/failure. In general, my motivation has ups and downs. Some days I feel super motivated and ready to defeat the world, but others I just want to stay in my bed and do nothing. I assume that some days this also happens to you, right and it's nothing wrong with it. So, because we all want to be motivated, I am also sharing with you my ways on how I keep myself motivated.

First of all, I know it's cliche, but having a plan, a goal you want to achieve makes your life 100% easier. This does not mean that you have to have a goal for everything, however, if you want to get a good grade on the coming test – this is also some kind of goal. Having a goal keeps you accountable and at least for me motivated to make this goal happen.

Secondly, I love going on social media, and when I see other people achieve things they inspire me. Today we have a lot of different resources for example Instagram, Pinterest, Tik Tok. Tik Tok is such a young platform that can give us so much. There you can find anything also videos of people that are trying to help others feel better. So I would recommend finding creators that inspire you and when you feel down just go on there and believe me you will feel so much better. Also, music makes a big difference. Just plug your headphones in and listen to your favorite music and then tell me you still don't feel motivated.

No matter what, we all make mistakes, as we are all just humans. And is also ok that some days we stay in bed and do nothing (and do not feel bad for it).

Love, Maša
